“Higher” Spirituality Where the Rubber Meets the Road

These days we hear a lot out about “higher” spirituality. People have a lot of definitions for it, both inside and outside Christendom. Yet what we need to ask is, what is Jesus’ definition of higher spirituality? The answer may be surprising.

Chipping Away at the Truth

Microchips? I prefer kale chips with humus. Let the chips fall where they may, I say.

I still think, all kidding aside, that this is why there is the big push for mandatory vaccination globally: unbeknownst to us, tiny nano chips will be implanted, or may already have been, to simply change human DNA. Little by little. The ingredients labels on this stuff are scary enough, but do you really think that everything that’s in something that’s being mandated is going to be shared on a label? Someone behind the scenes runs this show.

Even some so called “organic” crops, for example, are still “assisted” with Monsanto Roundup, making them as dangerous as the GMO crops. We’re still being led to believe that fluoridated water is good for us. The geo-engineers continue to play tic tac toe in the sky, day and night in the air we breathe. And we’re learning that every institution on the planet has been infiltrated by persons who, shall we say, to put it mildly, do not exactly have the best interests of humanity at heart. That would probably include your church, whether you know it or not.

This is the “bad news” in a nuttshell. It’s one thing to be informed about the bad news. There’s plenty of informing going around.

But I have a question for you to consider carefully, and prayerfully: What do you think the “good news” is that can turn this diabolical, draconian “techno-trend” around, and how is it to be implemented? Instead of being alarmed, we may need to be armed with the sword of truth in that regard.

That’s your assignment, Mr. or Mrs. Phelps, should you choose to accept it. And no, this message is not going to self destruct in 5 seconds.

Where to begin? See James 1:5-8.

The Fast I Have Chosen Part 1

How goes it with you this time of year, dear reader? Are you ready to make room for Jesus, for Emmanuel  – God With Us? In the scheme of things, are there “stable” conditions for this? Or is there “no room at the inn”?     Curious?    Read more:

Fasting Through The Frenzy

Fasting Through The Frenzy

Sunday 12/11/2016 – Thursday 1/19/2017

As 2016 draws to a close, we face not only the stresses of the “holly daze”, but also find ourselves in one of the most challenging times in the history of our world. With that in mind, we at Fellowship at the Crossroad invite our Christian brothers and sisters to join with us, wherever you are, to reverse the trend by drawing closer to the Lord, as He draws near to us – by Fasting Through The Frenzy. This will be a time of 40 days of focused fasting, prayer, and repentance – in accordance with 2 Chronicles 7:14, Isaiah 58:5-14, and Matthew 6:16-18. We ask that you read and pray over these scriptures as you embark upon this time.

We realize that not everyone can go into a “full fast” for 40 days. So we are asking you to carefully, prayerfully seek the Holy Spirit as to what degree it is reasonable for you to fast at this very pivotal time. For example, we are having 2 light meals per day eliminating all “meats and sweets”.

Some may choose to participate only for a day during this time period. Some may want to “fast” from the Internet or some other interest for specific periods of time. Fasting is not always about food and drink. Do what will work for you that will allow you to draw closer to the heart of our Savior. What’s important is that – by participating in this time of fasting, prayer, and repentance – it opens the opportunity for you to withdraw more fully from the world and its cares, and to come closer to our Heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus. It is a time set apart and prioritized where we can listen to His Still Small Voice, heed Him, seek His will for our lives, and intercede for our loved ones, the body of Christ, and for the souls of this fallen and lost world. And especially ask for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us!

You do not even need to “sign up” publicly, unless you wish to – as a sign of commitment to this undertaking. This can be done in the quiet of your own home. God is Love! So we hope that you will join us, right where you are, in seeking to know Him better than ever, as these challenging days unfold.

May our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of our Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit bless you abundantly according to His loving will, during this time and always.

The Revealer

“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” (Matthew 11:27)

Here is one of these magnificent enigmas, where Jesus reveals to us that if anyone knows the Father, it is because Jesus – in the authority granted to Him by the Father – bestows this knowledge.

And it is interesting to note, that when Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”, Peter  announces, “Thou art the Christ, Son of the living God.” Jesus then tells Peter that he is blessed because the knowledge of Jesus’ identity came to him directly from the Heavenly Father.

So we see Jesus revealing the Father and the Father revealing Jesus – in Whom the fulness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form. John tells us in his gospel (John1:16) that “of His fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace”, referring to whoever has received the Holy Spirit.

Later on Paul ceaselessly makes mention in his prayers (See Ephesians 1:15-22, and 3:14-21) that this knowledge, this revelation, would overtake believers, so that we would comprehend and know the love of Christ, surpassing ordinary intellectual knowledge – or simple information about Jesus, but instead “that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.” Then Paul says, “Now to Him Who is able to do exceeding abundantly BEYOND (caps emphasis mine) all the we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory IN the church and IN Christ Jesus…”

What is that power other than the fulness of Him which we have all received, and grace upon grace?! His presence in us, through His Holy Spirit, is one with His authority over all things. This is supposed to be the dynamic reality of all who have been called out of the ways of the world to be His Body.

It does not work in terms of might or power in the worldly sense, but rather it is through complete surrender to the Father in whole hearted fashion, with the “single eye” – seeing nothing but Him. It is lived out in His kind of love toward all, even those who are our enemies. This is meant to go on forever and ever, now and throughout all generations forever and ever.

So let us pray as Paul did – that our Lord reveals Himself to us and within us in His magnificent fulness, so that we begin to grasp that it is through the church that He intends to save and restore us as well as the entire creation.
